David Ballantyne was born in Calgary and lived in Alberta until his recent move to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. He began making images at a very early age and has continued to do so throughout his life. His favourite mediums are photography, drawing and painting.
David has received a number of awards and grants for his work over the years and is included in the collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. As well, his works have been included in numerous exhibitions across Canada including the Winnipeg Art Gallery and The Glenbow Museum.
