Maureen Coltman
Maureen was born and raised mostly in Vancouver, B.C. with the exception of 3 years spent in Australia. She also lived briefly in Peachland, Kelowna, and Langley but now she calls Courtenay, BC home. Maureen changed career paths after arriving on Vancouver Island and worked as a floral designer at shops in Courtenay, Comox and Parksville.
When an opportunity arose in January 2013 to join a local art group, she jumped at it and immersed herself totally. Why not? Her dad started painting in his late 80s and had quite a talent. Her daughter is also an up and coming artist.
Maureen is exploring every medium to find her niche. She has had her artwork exhibited in local cafes and several pieces shown at the Pearl Ellis Gallery in Comox.
